Supplied by Dinky for Triumph to reflect the original colours being offered to the public for the real version. They were distributed not through retail arms but I believe through petrol stations to promote the car brands new models of the 2000 & Herald. Provided in various colours in very limited numbers.Dinky 189 Triumph Herald. Extremely sought-after and difficult to find, this is an all original example of one of the rare Promotional Triumph models. This model is attractively finished in single colour Fern Green, black shiny base plate, suspension, glazing. It has silver spun shaped hubs and black grip tyres.

Supplied from the specialist west country collection.
This is the rarest of several colour and interior variations of the Hillman Imp. Very scarce to come to the market in metallic blue and matching blue interior. Finished with silver spun shaped hubs, black grip tyres and jewelled headlamps on this late version. Finally it sits on a silver base plate.

Dinky Toys 197 Morris Mini Traveller. Scarce Blue Interior
Supplied from my own collection.
Rare Mini variation a Diecast Gem.
The Morris and its counterpart the Austin 7 numbered 199 had a very successful run with various colour and internal seat changes which also received a late base change.
This model is a late very scarce issue which had a short run at the end of its life. Finished in cream but with a blue interior, silver spun shaped hubs and a matt black 197 base plate. It has 'M' tyres and is finished with tail lights.

Supplied from the fabulous 'Welsh' collection.
This is a rare US Export issue distributed through the Dinky US market place in 1956-7 only. Only a few have survived in a mint condition. Always a premium piece for the discerning collector and also a worthwhile long term investment item.
It was released in two colours including a white and maroon version. This is the red and tan interior version with red hubs. It has the standard 108 mottled base plate.

Dinky Toys 908 Mighty Antar with Transformer
Supplied from the Dutch collection.
A Diecast Gem. One of the rarest post war Dinky commercials.
This is a stunning and rare version of the Mighty Antar Transformer Lorry. The cab is deep yellow with window glazing , Very rare Primrose Yellow 'Plastic hubs and black 'ST' tyres. The trailer that can be separated is in grey with wheels and tyres matching the cab and with red drop down trailer leavers with black and white hazard transfers on the underside. A spare tyre is mounted on the front of the trailer. A separate free standing grey plastic transformer with accessories sits on the trailer (Complete).
This model is one of the rarest 1960's large commercials. Sought after in its usual finish with red ST wheels this version is mega rare and the first I have ever handled or seen. Also I have another in stock with rare Yellow ST hubs but the above without doubt much harder to find.

A very scarce example of the Leyland Octopus wagon usually found in yellow and green. This version has a dark blue cab and chassis with a primrose yellow back and cab stripes finished with later red plastic wheels. It has ST black tyres with a spare mounted to the underside of the chassis. A dark blue tow hook is at the rear.

Dinky Toys 039eu Chrysler Saloon
Announcing a "Diecast Gem" American classic in all over cream with green ridged wheels. This is a very scarce US Export. The base plate has an open towing cut out. Never an easy model to find in any condition. It comes Unboxed as sold from a shop keepers box of six models.
This model became one of six American classic cars, affectionately known as the 39 series. The Chrysler was original launched in the pre war period 1939 alongside the other 5 models and eventually came to the end of its life in 1952. In 1950 each model was given special liveries for the US export market and three of these models were painted in two tones including the Chrysler. The US exports have become particularly sought after and when in really good condition fetch a premium. This model is one of those.
Very rare. It would be hard to find a better model. Museum quality.

I have two SA Universal Jeeps. One in white with red hubs with some play wear unboxed and the other a mint green with red hubs in an lighter yellow picture box with no colour end spots.
A buyer wanted the white with the box. This can be viewed with a 405 search.
This sale for a dark green Jeep with bright red hubs and shiny smooth black base with south African rivets.

Dinky Toys 038E Armstrong Siddeley Tourer Prototype

Article on this model and similar Alvis model due in March 2024.
Here is a rare Proto-Type of the Armstrong Siddeley tourer, finished in mid green with a matching interior and a grey dashboard. There is no steering wheel and no hole made to receive. A very nice flat silver edged windscreen in place. It has black ridged hubs and black smooth tyres with no flats and shiny axles. Full silvering with blacked in front and rear number plates. The early brown base plate is loose with both rivet pillars in place but not fitted to base.
Totally original and no added touch-ins.

Dinky Toys 038D Alvis Tourer Early Pre-War Prototype
Made available from my personal collection.
Article on this model and similar Armstrong Siddeley model due in March 2024.
Here is a rare Proto-Type of the Alvis Tourer, finished in violet blue (similar to early Frazer Nash) with a brown interior, black smooth hubs and black original smooth tyres. There is no steering wheel though a tiny whole to receive one. The windscreen is present with a good spray of the original paint and the base plate is also the same violet blue. The back toneau is grey behind the seating. Fully silvered radiator and headlamps and side lights. The base is loose and not riveted. Some distortion to each tyre. There are minor cracks at the back of car from back seat upright to back rear edge with light fatigue.
Totally original with no added touch-ins.

Many of my rare Promotional models are now sold but this one I retained. Extremely hard to find and replace with prices rocketing for these rare Dinky models. This is a very scarce variation of this most popular 'Avengers' gift set. It is complete with three original umbrellas.
Steeds Bentley-- Hard to find the Bentley with a green body, usually red body and with deep red plastic spoke hubs.
It has a gun metal colour chassis and running boards. .John Steed is at the wheel, there is an undamaged windscreen and deep red interior. A superbly detailed chassis with copper exhaust.
Emma Peels Lotus Elan-- is finished in white with a black interior and seats that flick forwards. The car features an opening bonnet with a chromed detailed engine inside. With silver spun shaped wheels and suspension and intact windscreen. Emma is free standing. In addition there are three original umbrellas the special novelty of this set.
The box is the pictorial picture box with end flaps. Inside the two models sit on a yellow stand with a pictorial back drop stand up card. Protector card sits on top of the models.

Reminds me when I disposed of a 250 model Nicky collection in September 2003.
Becoming so sought after these crudely made Indian Nicky toys. Receiving the casting of Dinky toys they were assembled in India and hand painted.
Renamed Standard from Triumph Herald this example is an early issue with silver spun shaped hubs and tyres not later plastic hubs and tyres, This example in metallic blue with an off white interior and working suspension.
