A Rare Diecast Gem.
Around 1952–1954, Meccano Ltd shipped to South Africa a limited-edition set of vehicles for the South African Defense Force. This set included a Motor Truck, a Covered Wagon, an Ambulance, a Dispatch Rider, a Van.
Shipped in very small numbers and very difficult to find especially in any decent condition.
Here is the280 Van in drab green, open rear window casting, with original black grip tyres in outstanding condition.
Light tested and totally original.

Such a rare example in beautiful condition. Only the second example I have ever seen.
