Supplied from my own collection. This is one of the rarest of many Foden variations. Missing from many superb specialist collections this is a 1st series cab flat truck in denim blue/chassis with red flat bed and RED ridge wheels & cab flashes. Possibly the first colour release in the 2nd production phase which ran from 1948-52 and, if found, usually comes with blue wheels (still very scarce) this model is one of my most cherished Fodens. It has a mould block at the rear and houses a metal un-painted tow hook. The red ridged wheels have the correct black grip ST tyres. Also there are no tank slots in the chassis which was not introduced until October 1948. There is a spare tyre mounted to the chassis by a correct silver nut and bolt. Please note that a black nut and bolt were not issued for any 1st cab model. A very rare model and colour variation especially with red and not blue wheels and a premium model in any condition. This is a superb example and must be one of the best in collections today. Fully light tested and free of any known interference.

This is a very scarce blue cab Foden with matching flatbed on a dark blue chassis and over masked front wheel arches. As the first casting introduced to the Dinky model range in August 1947, it has no mould block to allocate a small tow hook which was not introduced until October 1948. Also no tank slots which were not introduced until October 1948. Also there is a spare tyre mounted to the chassis by a correct silver nut and bolt. Please note that a black nut and bolt were not issued for any 1st cab model.

Supplied from the Glasgow collection. A superb range of classic Dinky Toys. This 2nd Cab Foden Flat Truck is in orange with a green flat bed and ST hubs. It come in a dual number blue and white stripped 502/902 box. Light tested and original.

This Foden 1st cab tail board lorry with violet blue cab and chassis and orange bed, cab side flashes and blue ridged wheels is a scarce and very late issue of its colour release around 1952 only. How do we know this? Most models of this colour released during it's four year production run had no mounts below the bed to support a chain bosses used for the chain lorry. This model has the cast bosses as well as the tank slots for the tanker version. The casting support for the chain posts underneath were introduced in January 1952. There is a spare tyre mounted to the chassis by a correct silver nut and bolt. Please note that a black nut and bolt were not issued for any 1st cab model. Finally as a post 1948 model it came with black grip tyres not the earlier herringbone type. Light tested and free of any added touch ins.    

I am now making available for sale my whole Foden collection built up and constantly upgraded over the last 25 years. This is a hard to find early issue Foden 1st Cab Tanker, in violet blue cab and chassis, with a blue tank and ridged wheels and silver cab flashes. It has a mount block at the rear which supports a large unpainted hook. It naturally has the tank slits for mounting the tank and also has the early black herringbone tyres. This was the first issue with silver flashes and lower production was made of this first release until the next model came with a blue flash to the cab sides. It continues to have no casting support for the chain posts underneath as this was not introduced until January 1952. The spare tyre has a riveted mount and no screw and nut. It has no flats to the tyres which are now nicely hardened and a full '20mph' transfer on the rear left wheel arch.

This is the scarce 1st version of the Mobilgas Tanker with red filler caps. The model is red all over including the ST wheels. It has grey Supertoys tyres. A red painted tow hook with black metal ladder running the full tanker length and down one side. It comes in the 1st type blue box with orange label.
