Dinky Toys 957 Fire Service Set
What a rare Gift Set this is to add to your Dinky collection!
This is a very hard Dinky gift set to find in any condition.
First issued during 1959, this 3 part Gift Set comprises:
1) Dinky 257 Fire Chief’s Car with shaped spun wheels and window glazing, blue light on the roof, ‘Fire Chief’ labels on both doors. Left side missing lower part of 'F'. Some light playwear . Nice tyres, hubs and base plate. 3.5 rating.
2) Dinky 955 Commer Fire Engine with an all original paint finish ridged Supertoy hubs, bright baseplate and both ladder components and bells present.
As the above model some light play wear. 3.5 rating.
3) Dinky 956 Turntable Fire Escape with window glazing, silver platform, ridged Supertoy hubs. Both bells are present on the cab roof, No stringing so one wind up handle does not operate. Handles starting to corrode. Light playwear all round. 3.5 Rating.

Later issue, this 3 part Gift Set comprises:
1) Dinky 257 Fire Chief’s Car with shaped spun wheels and window glazing, small blue light on the roof, perfect ‘Fire Chief’ labels on both doors. Shiny black gloss base.
2) Dinky 955 Fire Engine with an all original paint finish, matching red plastic hubs, matt black 955 base plate and both ladder components and bells present.
3) Dinky 956 Turntable Fire Escape with window glazing, silver platform, matching red plastic late issue hubs and a matt black 956 base plate.
Both bells are present on the cab roof, two winding handles operates the raising and lowering of the two-piece extending ladder.

Dinky Toys 958 Snow Plough
This is the Guy Warrior cab in black with black chassis. The back is yellow also a horizontal band in yellow goes around the cab. The ST hubs are in yellow. The front blade as per the picture in black and yellow.
It has a hydraulic lifting blade and the workman's blue light on the cab roof. There is a black spare ST tyre under the chassis.
Light tested and a couple of professional touch ups noted under the black light.

Here is a very scarce and late issue in orange body and bright green dozer blade with later plastic driver in blue. All main body parts are in plastic. The wheels are also plastic in dark olive green. All hydraulics in black metal and the tractor bonnet stacks in bright green plastic. It has like new black rubber treads and sits on a later black shiny metal base plate.
Fully light tested and no touch ups evident.

Dinky Toys 961 Blaw-Knox Bulldozer
Here is a very nice transitional model from early to later release. It comes in, like new paint finish of lemon with a grey dozer blade. It has black hydraulic arms with bonnet stacks. The early version brown driver is in place. It has black metal wheels with very original green rubber/plastic and sits on a later gloss shiny base plate.
Fully light tested and I can confirm, a small touch-in at base of short bonnet stack.
