Supplied from my own collection. This is one of the rarest of many Foden variations. Missing from many superb specialist collections this is a 1st series cab flat truck in denim blue/chassis with red flat bed and RED ridge wheels & cab flashes. Possibly the first colour release in the 2nd production phase which ran from 1948-52 and, if found, usually comes with blue wheels (still very scarce) this model is one of my most cherished Fodens. It has a mould block at the rear and houses a metal un-painted tow hook. The red ridged wheels have the correct black grip ST tyres. Also there are no tank slots in the chassis which was not introduced until October 1948. There is a spare tyre mounted to the chassis by a correct silver nut and bolt. Please note that a black nut and bolt were not issued for any 1st cab model. A very rare model and colour variation especially with red and not blue wheels and a premium model in any condition. This is a superb example and must be one of the best in collections today. Fully light tested and free of any known interference.

This is a very scarce blue cab Foden with matching flatbed on a dark blue chassis and over masked front wheel arches. As the first casting introduced to the Dinky model range in August 1947, it has no mould block to allocate a small tow hook which was not introduced until October 1948. Also no tank slots which were not introduced until October 1948. Also there is a spare tyre mounted to the chassis by a correct silver nut and bolt. Please note that a black nut and bolt were not issued for any 1st cab model.

Supplied from the 'Welsh' collection. Another superb example from this prestigious collection of models. This is the first release colour of the Foden 1st cab flat truck finished in dark green over black with silver cab side flashes. It has dark green ridged hubs and black ST tyres including spare. Silver screw bolt connection to flatbed. It comes in a red label brown carded early box with green 'G' to one end. Black light tested and totally original.

A very hard model and colour variation to find in any condition. This is a bright example and high quality item. Fully light tested and free of any known interference.

This is a very scarce grey cab Foden with matching flatbed on a blue chassis and over masked front wheel arches, with matching blue cab side flashes and ridged wheels. Most models of this scarce colour have no mould block for a rear hook but this is one of the last models of this colour issue which received a mould block and small un painted tow hook, which was not introduced until October 1948. Also no tank slots which were not introduced until October 1948. An additional important point is that it has no casting support for the chain posts underneath as this was not introduced until January 1952. There is a spare tyre mounted to the chassis by a correct silver nut and bolt. Please note that a black nut and bolt were not issued for any 1st cab model. Finally as a later 1948 model it came with black grip tyres not the earlier herringbone type. A very hard model and colour variation to find in any condition. This is a bright example. Fully light tested and just one small touch in.
