A hard earlier version to find especially with a correct nice box.
This is a scarce Hudson Commodore finished in dark blue and a tan canopy with tan ridged hubs. It has the larger writing base plate.
It comes with a correct dual numbered 171/139b blue spot yellow picture box. Correct colour to one side and maroon and cream to the other.
Fully light tested and no touch ins observed.

Dinky Toys 171 Hudson Commodore Highline Sedan
This is a rare version in two tone blue & grey in highline finish. The final version was a lowline version which had a longer production run but still not an easy find in nice condition. This example had light grey side panels that cover the complete sides running across the bonnet lines with a blue upper section and matching wheels. It has later black 'M' style tyres with tail lights. As you would expect a large writing base plate.
A lovely example of this scarce and popular Dinky toy. One of the most sought after American 50's cars. Cabinet or showroom quality.

Dinky 171 Hudson Commodore Lowline

Rare variation Blue and grey lowline with beige hubs not the usual blue.
This rare variation issued in 1958-59 only had a very short production run. Very few were produced with this hub colour variation and this only one of two examples I have seen in 4o years.
Late features which include tail lights and grip 'M' tyres. It sits on a large writing un-numbered base plate.
It comes with a yellow picture box and correct colour end spots.
Light tested with a UV lamp and original.
