Dinky Toys 254 Police Patrol Range Rover
Here is a very nice working model of the Police Land Rover in white with full length luminous orange side strip labels and also across the back. With a blue interior a mounted 'Police' roof sign and aerial jewelled headlights, cast silver wheels and fully applied number plates. It features opening bonnet, doors and tail gate.
Shop fresh mint example. Light tested and totally original.

Here is a later issue Austin Taxi in rare violet blue and a matt black base. Becoming hard to find. This example will be an ideal gap filler until a minty example turns up but at a significantly lighter strain on the wallet. As a later issue it has the un-numbered matt base plate and late bobbly grip 'M' tyres.
Totally original and no evidence of any touch-ins.

Supplied from a Somerset shop owners estate in September 2022 who retained some shop stock Dinky Toys dating from 1953-1961.
Believed never to have been in circulation and where I have viewed and selected around 100 stock for sale. No touch-ups noted except a factory touch to a Weetabix Van which is known to have regularly occurred. If you want to know what is there just give me a call.
This is a very bright example of the Austin Taxi in yellow over green with yellow ridged wheels.
It comes in a correct picture box. Fully light tested and totally original.

This fine example of the red Mersey Police Van has matching red ridged wheels and an un-painted rear tow hook. Transfers are on each door in large yellow letters and reads 'Mersey Tunnel' and in black and yellow to the front which reads 'Police'.
It has the mottled base plate with 255 cast and runs on smooth black tyres now nicely hardened.
