Purchase from a private Gloucester collection. Always a popular model the Austin Devon which comes in many variations of colour and hubs. This is a 152 model with the larger writing base plate in sage green with matching hubs. Black light tested and original.

Supplied from a recent house clearance in Cambridge of 37 Dinky models all dated around 1946-51. Believed always been in the original owners possession until now. This 6 wheel army car is one of the earlier releases I believe a 1946 issue. Finished in drab green with matching smooth hubs with a satin drab green finish base and black well shaped smooth tyres now hardening. Black light tested and original.

This model was first issued in 1948 under it’s former code 40e and was issued in a trade box of 6. It was renumbered in 1954 when it received its own individual box. This was one of several models which became affectionately known as the 40 series and one of the most popular areas of Dinky toy collecting. Several colours were issued and this resulted in some shade variations and rare wheel colour combinations. This is a very rare colour issued at the transactional renumbering time. I believe this model could have come through a trade box, individual dual number box or a 153 box as in this case with factory applied dark blue end flap stickers. This model has a dark blue body (US Export colour) no cross hatching inside the roof, and no name casting to the underside given to the later models. It has fawn wheels and black smooth tyres. The base for this model is the later type large writing.  

This is a later issue of the Standard Vanguard finished in blue with cream ridged wheels. It has the 153 larger writing base plate, tail lights and the later 'M' tyres. Fully light tested and no touch-ins.

Supplied from my own collection on request. 'A Diecast Gem' This is a rare and sought after 40 series model of the Standard Vanguard in all over maroon. Rare to come to the market it is finished with smooth black original tyres, a large writing base plate and ridged hubs. This  is a very rare colour issued at the transitional stage of renumbering in 1953. It may have been supplied in a later trade box, a dual numbered individual or 153 box with a maroon spot applied. An amazing model in superb condition. Fully light tested and totally original.
