Dinky Toys 197 Morris Mini Traveller
Supplied from my own collection.
This is a very rare Morris Traveller variation in dark green with a red interior.. The only example I have ever seen and one of the highly sought after rarities for Dinky and Mini collectors.
It has silver spun shaped hubs with a black matt base. The information cast to the base is difficult to see with the eye but the camera draws it out. The base surface is very smooth.
This version can be regularly found with a yellow interior and occasionally pale blue but a red interior is extremely rare.
On the yellow picture box is a 'Geneva' toy shop sticker which suggests it could have been a last issue export.
Black light tested and totally original.

Dinky Toys 514 Guy Slumberland Van
Supplied from my own collection.
Rare Diecast Variation with ST hubs.
One of the Guy advertising larger vans displayed in red with matching red grooved hubs not the usual ridged hubs and smooth black well shaped tyres it displays the 'Slumberland ' livery.
A spare tyre is held secure under the Dinky Supertoys chassis. These vans created extra play appeal with their rear opening doors.
This was the first of six Guy advertising Van issued. As with all these vans they are hard to find in any reasonable condition and are one of the most popular areas for Dinky Toy collectors. This example would have been a final release of a few models with the later hubs.
Black light tested and original.

Corgi Toys 497 The Man From Uncle ‘Thrushbuster’
Supplied from the 'Welsh' collection.
A 'Diecast Gem'. See below on Cons.
This version of this iconic model is in rare all cream export version with cast hubs, blue window glass with original Waverley ring, both card packing rings. It has a complete bonnet label and a mint membership leaflet.
Superb boxed item.
Fakes classed as originals.
One of the most important models to black light test. I have bought four similar models over the years from a well known auction house only to find each one covered with proffessional touch-ins. On such examples under an ultra violet light you will find purple streaks and spots revealing such treatment. 'New paint v old'.
This was one of the main reasons I decided to use a black light on all models to try to identify this proffessional con.

Dinky Toys 674 ‘UN’ Austin Champ
Supplied from the wonderful extensive ‘Welsh’ collection.
Issue date unknown but likely around 1969-70
This very rare little Jeep made for export only was only found and recorded this century, with a limited supply only, identified. Finished in the 'UN' livery of white with military gloss green to the wheel arch surrounds and the hubs. The four main hubs are plastic and the rear mounted spare is metal. The most vulnerable part of this model is it's windscreen which when found can often show cracking. I have seen five examples over the last 30 years two supplied in the red and yellow non picture box and three in the lighter yellow picture box with the machine side cut end tabs.
Tested by ultra violet light and no touch -ups noted.

Dinky Toys 139a/170 Ford Forder
Supplied from the wonderful extensive ‘Welsh’ collection.
This is a Ford Forder in the hardest to find colour of all over yellow with the early small writing base.
A cherished model in it's own right, this immaculate example comes with a 170 early box with factory applied yellow end spots.
This must have been a transitional model held in stock and put not in the first dual numbered box but the second issue 170 box which has small black ovals with the white number 170.
This is the only example I have seen like this.
Tested by ultra violet light and no touch-ups noted.
