Supplied from my own specialist Dinky collection.
This is a rare South African Dinky 555 Ford Thunderbird in blue with a red interior, silver concave wheels and white original grip tyres.
Rare to ever come to the market this is the only example I have ever had which i purchased a number of years ago from a South African connection.
Most collectors would already know that Dinky Atlas made a copy of this very version but this has a black gloss base plate with SA rivets and is ‘Made in France’ I acquired this several years before the first Atlas model was ever introduced.
Totally original and in fine presentation for the show cabinet.

Item Condition
Overall this rare model has very nice paintwork with just an occasional nick. The driver is there and the original 3 pronged white steering wheel. The windscreen has no cracks but is slightly loose. The wheels are clean, the white tyres a little grubby, the suspension works well. The base plate is clean with the occasional scratches often evident on the SA models.
An extremely rare French Dinky, when will be the next opportunity.
