Dinky 591 AEC Tanker “Shell Chemicals Limited”. A scarce second issue only produced for two years between 1954-55, this commercial tanker has a bright red and yellow finish, and virtually perfect “SHELL CHEMICALS LIMITED” lettering on both sides. Very nice ‘Shell’ label at rear. It has 20mph rear transfer, black ‘ST’ tyres and a mottled pressed un-numbered base plate.
It comes in the blue box with orange wrap over label lift off box.
Black light tested. and original.

Without doubt the best example I have ever had with a like new lustre to the paint finish, clean well shaped tyres and yellow hubs and a spotless base plate.
The blue box base has some scuffing particularly to the short ends. The box top is better with full labeling. Occasional mark and a price crossed out to one box end.
