What a rare Gift Set this is to add to your Dinky collection!
This is a very hard Dinky gift set to find in any condition.
First issued during 1959, this 3 part Gift Set comprises:
1) Dinky 257 Fire Chief’s Car with shaped spun wheels and window glazing, blue light on the roof, perfect ‘Fire Chief’ labels on both doors.
2) Dinky 955 Fire Engine with an all original paint finish ridged Supertoy wheels, bright baseplate and both ladder components and bells present.
3) Dinky 956 Turntable Fire Escape with window glazing, silver platform, ridged Supertoy wheels. Both bells are present on the cab roof, two winding handles operates the raising and lowering of the two-piece extending ladder.

1) Dinky 257 Fire Chief’s Car
Has near mint red paint work with an occasional mark and minor box rubs. The little ring around the roof light has some corrosion.
2) Dinky 955 Fire Engine
The body work is very nice. The top of the silver ladders has some wear. Both roof bells are corroded. The wheels and base are nice and grey tyres are good just grubby.
3) Dinky 956 Turntable Fire Escape
Overall nice paint work with minor marks. The right side handle has some corrosion the other is fine and also the roof bells. Very clean wheels, black tyres and shiny black base plate.

A very nice box with strong corners to top and base. No repairs or damage.
It has both the top and bottom packing piece.
Age markings only. Scarce to find such a strong box.
Inside the box lid is stamped the date 11-59.
