This is a very hard Dinky gift set to find in any condition.
First issued during 1959, this 3 part Gift Set comprises:
1) Dinky 257 Fire Chief’s Car with shaped spun wheels and window glazing, blue light on the roof, ‘Fire Chief’ labels on both doors. Left side missing lower part of ‘F’. Some light playwear . Nice tyres, hubs and base plate. 3.5 rating.
2) Dinky 955 Commer Fire Engine with an all original paint finish ridged Supertoy hubs, bright baseplate and both ladder components and bells present.
As the above model some light play wear. 3.5 rating.
3) Dinky 956 Turntable Fire Escape with window glazing, silver platform, ridged Supertoy hubs. Both bells are present on the cab roof, No stringing so one wind up handle does not operate. Handles starting to corrode. Light playwear all round. 3.5 Rating.

It has bottom packing piece.
Age markings only. Scarce to find such a strong box.
On this unusual occasion the box is better than the models, usually the other way round.
