Description
Supplied from a Somerset shop owners estate in September 2022 who retained some shop stock Dinky Toys dating from 1953-1961.
Believed never to have been in circulation and where I have viewed and selected around 100 stock for sale. No touch-ups noted except a factory touch to a Weetabix Van which is known to have regularly occurred. If you want to know what is there just give me a call.
This Model.
This is the scarce 1st version of the 2nd Cab Foden Mobilgas Tanker with red filler caps. The model is red all over including the ST wheels. It has grey Supertoys tyres. A red painted tow hook with black metal ladder running the full tanker length and down one side. It comes in the 1st type blue box with orange label.
Light tested and original.

Item Condition
A superb shop stock item stored away over 60 years with beautiful bright paint work. Occasional small marks but as made.
Fresh grey tyres now firmed up with no signs of rusting. The back tow hook has minimal paint. Some papery remnants around the filler cap believed from bedding into the underside of the box top.
It really would be hard to find much better than this one.

An equally superb blue box, with only minor scuff marks and minimal signs of shelf rubs at all. The orange label is bright and clear of damage. Some small grubby marks only.
