Description
Supplied from the fabulos ‘Welsh’ collection.
This is an early issue Foden 1st Cab Tanker, in violet blue cab and chassis, with a blue tank and ridged hubs and blue cab flashes. It has a mount block at the rear which supports a large unpainted hook. This was the second issue following the same colour body but with silver flash to the cab sides.
It continues to have no casting support for the chain posts underneath as this was not introduced until January 1952. The spare tyre has a riveted mount and no screw and nut.
It has black well shaped ST tyres.
Light tested with a UV lamp and totally original.

The early brown box with a red label displays a ‘B’ to one end for blue but is faded. Bright un-damaged labelling and a strong box with no damage. Usual rusty staples.
