This is one of the final 1st series Cab models produced around 1950-52. Finished in dark orange cab and chassis with a green flat bed, cab flashes and ridged wheels this is one of the best examples I have ever had of this colour. From my experience a notoriously difficult colour to find with no interference and several that I have seen have had many touch ups added. This is a completely clean model with only the restricted to the vulnerable wheel arches. Probably never experienced real play wear, it has a lovely paint finish as if it was a day one release. It has a mould block at the rear and houses a metal un-painted tow hook. The green ridged wheels have the correct black grip ST tyres. On the underside are tank slits made to fit the tanker body. The black tyres have no flats, the wheels and base are superb with lovely shiny axle rods. The bed silver screw and silver nut and bolt below are like new.
This is not the hardest colour to find but extremely difficult to find in this wonderful condition.
So often Foden & Guy lorries as premium pieces, can come with touch up and repainted areas. This is an honest model free of any known touch ins.
A model in superb condition, and the best I have ever handled of this colour. Very scarce due to condition.
Fully light tested and free of any known interference.
This is the correct last issue and transactional box also used for the early 2nd cab models, but showing the 1st cab picture. The box is in blue card with a nice complete orange wrap across top and ends label. It is a strong box with no damage. One end flap has some graffiti applied. Very little scuffing to the base.
