Description
Supplied from my own collection.
1st cab Foden Wagon in red cab and chassis and a taupe back with silver cab flashes.
This was the last colour run for the 1st Cab version which has a mount block to house a large un-painted rear tow hook and has tank slots which were both not introduced after October 1948. It continues to have no casting support for the chain posts underneath as this was not introduced until January 1952. There is a spare tyre mounted to the chassis by a correct silver nut and bolt. Please note that a black nut and bolt were not issued for any 1st cab model. Finally as a later release it has the black grip original tyres with no flats and a full ’20mph’ transfer on the rear left wheel arch.
Supplied in a later issue blue box and orange wrap over label.
Light tested with a uv lamp and is original.

The model is in very nice condition overall. There is a noteable chip to the cab roof and some nicks around the arches.
However this model is a fine example with nicely shaped tyres, clean hubs and base.

The correct later 1st cab box is a delight. Fully labelling, little evidence of scuffing and close to mint.
