Supplied from a Somerset shop owners estate in September 2022 who retained some shop stock Dinky Toys dating from 1953-1961.
Believed never to have been in circulation and where I have viewed and selected around 100 stock for sale. No touch-ups noted except a factory touch to a Weetabix Van which is known to have regularly occurred. If you want to know what is there just give me a call.
The initial release of the Kodak van in 1954 was followed later by the Ovaltine 1955 and the Dinky toys van in 1956, Though it was released the year of re-numbering, it was only available in a trade box of 6 for a very short period. Early issues followed in the all plain yellow non picture box. It had the shortest production run of only two years hence why it is the harder of the three vans to find. Always popular to collectors as advertising vans with their bright colours.
This model is in deep yellow with bright red and black transfers depicting ‘Kodak’ and ‘Cameras & Film’ on the cab sides. The ridged wheels are matching red in colour. It has a standard base plate. It is numbered (an early issue), smooth tyres and no tail lights.
Light tested and original.

A superb fresh example. I see no chipping. Tiniest loss of lettering on left side. from mint. Fresh tyres, clean wheels and base.
A very nice early non picture box with sound flaps and plenty of spring. Slight crush topside only. Pencil pricing to one end.
