Very Rare South African Dinky
History
Distributed through a company ‘Arthur E Harris’ during the apartheid conflict in the early 1960’s there were possibly only one or two shipments of parts sent from the UK where installation and packing was completed in South Africa.
Finished in bright green the same shade as they finish the green 139 Ford Cortina. It has silver spun shaped wheels, ‘M’ tyres and a black gloss base plate with the correct SA rivets.

A very rare South African Dinky toy in any condition the VW Beetle from my experience has been one of the most difficult models to find. I have been collecting SA Dinky for the last 20 years.
In general play worn condition with a very clean base plate and very nice original wheels and tyres.
Fully light tested and no indication of any past touch-ins.
A rare model.
The market for South African Dinky is very strong and one of the areas of Dinky Toys where prices continue to increase.
