This has to be the holy grail of the 40 series collecting. Rare to ever be seen let alone come to the market. Finished in striking blue with grey ridged wheels this was an early issue only sold from a shop keepers trade box of six models. It has an un-numbered small writing base plate. A large writing numbered base was never issued for this model.

Rare in any condition this is close to mint. There is one chip to the roof edge and minor box rubbing. A wonderful model. I have only seen four examples in 40 years and only two presentable. What a piece for the collection I will miss it after owning it for 20 years.The wheels, tyres and base are like new. About 70 years old now.
Overall a wonderful presentation piece rarely coming to the market.

A very nice correct two tone box and with correct end spots. A nice strong box with no damage. Minor age colouring and light edge wear only.
