A rare transitional model in violet-blue & tan with rare box. The last two images show the colour variation with the sea-blue and tan version.
This rare colour Hudson Commodore is finished in violet blue with a tan canopy and hubs. It has black smooth tyres and has an early small writing 139b base plate.
It comes in a dual numbered yellow picture box and has a factory violet blue colour spot one end.
Light tested with a UV lamp and totally original.

Such a difficult find and the only example I have seen. In very, near mint condition. 2-3 little marks. Beautiful lustre to the paint finish.
When I bought this in the early days I did not realize then just what a find it was. Clean hubs and base. One rear tyre the most minor flat, to the now hardened tyres. Model still rolls well.
The box is strong with all flaps intact, though one tuck in tab has been repaired. Box holds good shape, small starter tear to a main flap. Crumple to one end. Bright violet-blue end spot on dual numbering a find.
