Rare early issue.
The story that I have heard is that Corgi were requested to model the Batmobile and after seeing the full size model at the studio in matt satin black had assumed that producing the same was required. However, after a very short batch the order was adjusted to gloss black and this is why so few exist in matt finish.
This 1st issue 267 comes in the early production matte black finish with Batman & Robin. Very nice gold & red bat wheels, well shaped tyres, perfect shape aerial, intact firm suspension, operational functions, pulsating flame, large batman logo’s to either side, perfect chrome dashboard, unmarked clear blue screens & immaculate matte baseplate. A fantastic example
Secret instruction pack has been opened and has, badge, instructions and includes nine rockets of which 7 remain affixed to the sprue.
Includes pictorial box with inner card stand. White card surround protector and membership leaflet.
Black light tested and totally original.

The overall condition of this model is superb with only occasional micro dots from mint. Chrome parts a little dull.
Superb presentation. Slasher blade operates well and the turbine jet exhaust also. This is the first issue with no tow hook.

The inner card stand is very nice in near mint condition. The outer box is complete with all flaps secure in similar condition. The white wrap is great just the usual selotape residue. Membership leaflet included.

Such a rare opportunity and missing in most collections.
