Dinky Toys 181 VW Beetle South African model
Very Rare South African Dinky
History
Distributed through a company 'Arthur E Harris' during the apartheid conflict in the early 1960's there were possibly only one or two shipments of parts sent from the UK where installation and packing was completed in South Africa.
Finished in bright green the same shade as they finish the green 139 Ford Cortina. It has silver spun shaped wheels, ‘M’ tyres and a black gloss base plate with the correct SA rivets.
