Dinky Toys 154 Hillman Minx
A lovely clean example of this rare early version of the two tone Hillman Minx. It comes in cerise over pale blue with blue ridged wheels but the only example I have seen with early 40f style small writing base plate. If there is another variation nut, like me you may get excited over this. Its a contradiction of terms, a late issue two tone with early 40f base plate clearly shows an example of old base plates hanging around the factory and being used up for much later productions.

A last issue colour the two tone version Hillman Minx in lime green and cream with beige ridged hubs. This was an early release of the two omte. The factory must have had a supply of old 040f 'small writing' base plates which was fitted here. It has smooth black tyres.

Spot-On 154 Austin A40
Spot On made by Triang were originally launched in 1959 and produced in Belfast Northern Ireland. Their production was short lived and ceased when Triang bought dinky toys in 1967. Today they are highly sought after models by the collector. Good boxes are even harder to find as the construction was not as strong as those of competitor makers.
This example in pale green and a black roof has a cream interior, red steering wheel and black rubber grip tyres. This was a right hand drive model with glazing and suspension. The base is grey.

Here is a very scarce early Hillman minx 040f in deep butterscotch and blue ridged wheels.
Almost rare to be found in such amazing condition with superb bright paint work throughout. It displays the early base plate with the two horizontal lines and small writing.
Unboxed and sold from a trade box of six or could receive and early dual numbered box. Very much a transitional model around 1953-54.
