This hard to find variation is in red with a graphite grey engine section and primrose yellow canopy. The hubs are also primrose with plastic front and metal rear. This version has a yellow plastic exhaust stack. There are 'David Brown labels on each side and to the front grill.

This rare colour version in deep blue of the 563 Heavy Tractor is a wonderful piece for the collector who wants the very best. The plastic hubs are finished in light blue and the original rubber tracks in deep olive green.
The early style brown metal driver sits atop and an intact tow hook to the rear.
All black metal parts have no loss.
It comes in the correct early brown carded box with white wrap over labelling showing a blue 'B' to one end.

Dinky Toys 503 1st Cab Foden Flat truck with Tailboard
Supplied from the 'Harrogate' collection.
A scarce red cab Foden 1st cab with matching flatbed and red ridged hubs on a black chassis and over masked front wheel arches with matching black cab side flashes. Well shaped black herringbone tyres.
As the first casting introduced to the Dinky model range in August 1947, it has no mould block to allocate a small tow hook which was not introduced until October 1948. Also, no tank slots which were not introduced until October 1948. An additional important point is that it has no casting support for the chain posts underneath as this was not introduced until January 1952.
There is a spare tyre mounted to the chassis by a correct silver nut and bolt. Please note that a black nut and bolt were not issued for any 1st cab model.
Light tested. The roof may have been repainted but no other suspicians and if so very well matched.
It comes in a correct red label early brown box with correct large red colour sticker to the label end.
